Well the above photo shows how poor I have been in blogging this past few months! Here's a few pics from my sketchbook, which has mostly been used for frantic note making of late as opposed to actual sketches! I feel a New Years resolution coming on...!

Halloween!

 

 This halloween we went to a brilliant party and all dressed as Harry Potter characters. We made wands and created death eater masks! Lots of fun! I made a dark mark symbol and we sprayed painted them on! Not the best plan in retrospect as I still have mine now, I was Bellatrix though so I should of known it wouldn't fade easily...! hope you all had a spooky time too!

 

(I would like to add that this isn't my arm, I'm not that hairy. honest).

Recent scribblings

A beautiful day

We spent last Saturday rambling around the beautiful local reservoir, I couldn't quite believe it was supposed to be Autumn (I can now as the rain lashes at the window!). The light was lovely through the trees although I don't think the dog noticed...

My nan gave me these beautiful roses at the weekend cut from her garden, I think they look rather perfect here!

I'm always inspired by awesome shop windows and these in Manchester were no exception. Such a brilliant canvas to be able to work with and a great platform to produce something visually exciting and creative that tons of people will get to see.

I Love Manchester

I popped into Manchester a couple of weeks ago shortly after the riots and was really pleased (and relieved) to see the I Heart Manchester campaign pretty much everywhere and so quickly rolled out. Shows the Northern spirit and makes me proud!

Netherstowe House

We stayed here last weekend after a friend's wedding in Birmingham and had to blog some pictures. The interior and grounds were gorgeous, a real find hidden in Lichfield. They did a bloomin' good afternoon tea too!



Was really tempted to exchange my luggage for one of these amazing old trunks, I'm sure no one would of noticed...?

I have been pretty awful at blogging recently so apologies, it's been pretty hectic at Firecatcher Towers. I would also like to blame Pinterest! MMU Illustration Degree Show
