Trees Are Best. Fact.

After finishing my tree book a good while ago and then losing most of it from my hard drive, this moment has felt like a long time coming! It feels amazing to finally have the book hand bound and available for sale as well as a selection of badges, handmade notebooks and leaf garlands all inspired by the original book.

As a lover of all things tree, I was daydreaming about them one sunny day, listing all the things about them I liked. In my head it sounded quite a childish list and I imagined myself as a school kid arguing with a friend about why trees were "way better than diggers". An irrational argument maybe but it didn't stop the images flowing into my head and onto the page. The images are quite varied in style as I wanted the overall book to have a sketchbook feel with a child's doodlings and represent the way their imaginations whizz from one place to another.

I have hand bound each section along the spine with different shades of green and packaged it with a nice spotty green ribbon.

I hope you like them, you can see them here.

Sloth and Bear

A couple of months ago a friend asked me to illustrate a very long illustration for her house. It was a gift to her partner charting their adventures so far with details of their lives and jokes they share running throughout the print. It was great fun to do, especially working with such fun characters!!

The Big Apple

I've produced a set of illustrations inspired by New York, you can see the rest of them here.

Russian Dolls

It was nan's birthday recently and she likes Russian dolls so I thought I'd make her a personalised set. The tiny one was extremely fiddly especially in the varnish stage!!

Hand Painted Journals

I made a few handmade presents for Christmas, including these hand-painted journals. Above, a wedding planner and a notebook for 'important thoughts'

Our Gingerbread House

I know we're well into January now but I thought I'd post a few goings on from December that I didn't have chance to before Christmas.

Our gingerbread house completed by my little bro and I on Christmas eve, it made us feel extra festive, and took so much will power not to eat it as we went! Needless to say, it probably would of had a few more roof tiles and adornments had we of had more will power! Ah well!
