Dog Days

I found this old sketchbook the other day whilst cleaning out under my bed. It's a research book full of dogs that I did way back in Uni (quite how way back I don't like to think). While some of the drawing are pretty shocking I love all the different materials and techniques used, pastel, paint, collage etc. It reminds me I should be doing more experimental sketchbook work and move away from the 'pen' everynow and again, even if things don't look as great as they might!

Dear Santa,

These illustrations are apart of our Christmas window at Firecatcher. We have five frames depicting the journey of a little boy's Christmas letter making it's way to Father Christmas.

Manchester Artist Book Fair

I've finally gotten round to posting some pictures from the artist book fair we did in Manchester a couple of weeks ago. We met some lovely people and saw some really inspiring work. All in all a great day!

Spooky Goings On

We had a bit of a Halloween bash this weekend which involved ALOT of food (mainly spooky themed: meringue ghosts, skeleton biscuits, toffee apples, pumpkin pie, you get the idea). We also had a lantern release which was lovely and a 'Guess What's in the Box' game which was not so lovely. It included 'Witches Vomit' and 'Cat's Brains' (or mashed banana and raisins and spaghetti), thank you Simon. Thanks goes to James for his brilliant Halloween quiz too!
